Join us in a growing community of informed and involved opticians

Term of membership is April to April. Certified member annual dues are $65. This includes your annual membership of $25 to the Opticians Association of America. Associate Members annual dues are $40. Applicants joining after April will be extended a prorated fee which will cover their membership until the following April.

Membership Categories

• Certified Member: Any person who is currently ABO or NCLE certified shall be a certified member. This member will enjoy all member benefits including voting privileges.
• Associated Member: Any person not currently certified but is involved in an optical related service, industry, educational or military program can apply for Associate Membership. Associate members are entitled to all membership benefits and are invited to serve on board committees. They are not extended the privilege of voting or holding a board position.
• Firm Member: Any optical business may qualify for Firm Membership status. A Firm Business must be owned and operated by an ABO or NCLE certified professional. Contact our board for specific details.
• Firm Affiliated Member: Any person employed by a firm member in good standing and paying firm affiliated dues. Affiliated members are entitled to all membership benefits and are invited to serve on board committees. They are not extended the privilege of voting or holding a board position.
